Open Space & Farmland Preservation

The Township, by ordinance, has created an Open Space and Farmland Preservation Commission. The five-member Commission will continue to establish and promote open space and farmland preservation in Monroe. Its goal will be to encourage residents, developers and businesses to protect Monroe's land and keep it healthy, thriving and beautiful.

The non-partisan Commission will study, analyze and make recommendations to the Council to establish programs and projects needed to protect Monroe's natural environment.

The organizational meeting for the Open Space and Farmland Preservation Commission will meet quarterly and will be held in the municipal building upstairs conference room.

Meeting Dates: Second Wednesday in February and May and Third Wednesday in October at 6:30 p.m. in the lower-level conference room of the Municipal Building.
