Report a Street Light Outage - Call JCP&L/FirstEnergy at 1-888-544-4877 or visit their website at https://www.firstenergycorp.com/content/customer/service_requests/report-lighting-problem.html.html.

PLEASE NOTE: Residents are encouraged to ask for a work order number to be used for future reference.

Report a Power Outage - In the event of severe weather, customers should immediately report downed wires to their utility, or call their local police or fire department and call 1-888-LIGHTSS (1-888-544-4877) or click the “Report Outage” link on www.firstenergycorp.com to report any outages.

JCP&L reminds customers to stay away from downed wires, even if they believe they are no longer carrying electricity. Extra caution should be used in areas where downed lines are tangled with trees or other debris.

JCP&L customers can also subscribe to email and text message alert notifications to receive weather updates in advance of major storms and updates on scheduled or extended power outages. Customers can also use two-way text messaging to report outages, request updates on restoration efforts and make other inquiries about their accounts.
