Environmental Commission
The Environmental Commission advises the Township, Planning Board, and Zoning Board of adjustments and acts as a local watchdog for environmental problems and opportunities.
The Commission works to protect the use of natural resources, including open space preservation, water resource management, air pollution control, solid waste management, noise control, stormwater management, soil and landscape protection, and the protection of flora and fauna in general.
Meetings: First Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. on the lower level of the Municipal Building. There will be no July Meeting.

Reviews and inspects all development applications to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental laws.

Follows up on all Board-approved developments to verify adherence to the approved plans with respect to environmental concerns.

Consults with the Department Director, Township Planner and Township Engineer as necessary to ensure compliance with all matters of environmental nature.
