“We are thrilled to be moving forward on the construction of affordable housing for veterans as we are so grateful for their service to our country,” said Mayor Stephen Dalina. “The acquisition of this land in 2019 served three very important purposes for the Township. It increased our open space inventory and added convenient recreational facilities that residents have been using for some time now. This is the third, and perhaps most important piece – affordable housing for veterans.”

The project will be constructed by Conifer-LeChase Construction, LLC. Once built, the veterans housing component will be managed by Conifer Realty. Interested veterans should visit Conifer Realty at www.valorpointeapartments.com for more information. These units will provide mobility, visual, hearing impaired and accessible components. Units are affordable and income restrictions apply.

In addition to the new veterans housing, the township-owned property known as “Patriot Park”, also contains a previously constructed playground, dog park, basketball court and cricket pitch with associated parking.
