Six additional positive cases community-wide reported today were from May, July and August.  

New COVID-19 Cases from September 24 – 30th:  8M, (2) 16M, (2) 18M, 19F, 20M, 20F,

(2) 22F, 36M, 42F, 47M, 49F, 53M, 67F, 77M, 77F, 86F

 

STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS: 

  • NJ hospitals currently have 271 patients being treated for COVID-19.
  • 108 patients in intensive care; 39 ventilators in use; 36% of critical patients on ventilators.
  • Daily spot positivity rate for tests from September 26 was 3%. Rate of transmission 1.15.
  • As of Tuesday, September 29, travelers to NJ from 34 states and territories are advised to observe a 14-day self-quarantine period. Visit Covid19.nj.gov for updates.

1015VOTE 2020 – SECURE BALLOT DROP BOX:  The 2020 ballot drop box at the Monroe Township Library is now open for those who wish to deposit their vote-by-mail ballots.  The drop box is located outside the Library’s main doors and is under video surveillance. GET YOUR FLU VACCINE TODAY:  The CDC recommends getting a flu vaccine, especially this year with the seasonal flu overlapping with coronavirus.  See your doctor or visit one of the locations listed on the Township website under Get Your Flu Shot

 

SENIOR CENTER OUTDOOR PROGRAMMING:  Pre-registration for October outd1013oor programming at the Senior Center will begin Tuesday, October 6 at 9am by Community Pass or by phone – limit two programs per Senior Center member.  Limited seating for social distancing.  Masks required.  Call 609-448-7140 to register or for information.

 

1012LIBRARY UPDATE:  The Monroe Township Library hours are Monday – Thursday:  9:30AM to 8PM, Friday:  9:30AM to 5PM, Saturday:  10AM - 4PM and closed on Sunday. Senior hours remain Monday, Wednesday and Friday:  9:30AM - 11AM. Curbside Pickup Service remains available by appointment. The book drops at the Library’s drive-thru window and in the parking lot of the Senior Center are open.  Overdue fines will be waived at this time. The book drop at the Community Rec Center remains closed.
