STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS:
- 3,517 new cases reported in NJ on Thursday, November 12
- NJ hospitals have 1,827 COVID-19 patients – highest since June 4
- 360 patients in intensive care; 117 critical care patients on ventilators.
- The statewide positivity rate for tests recorded on November 8 was 12.02%. Rate of transmission 1.30.
MESSAGE FROM GOVERNOR MURPHY:
“This second wave is without question upon us. Our numbers have gone up dramatically, whether it’s new cases, hospitalizations, our positivity rate, everything is going in the wrong direction. Wear a mask. Social distance. Stay safe,” said Governor Murphy. “As cases of COVID-19 increase across the country and in our state, we must take all measures necessary to stop the spread. We must come together as a state to once again beat back this deadly virus and to save lives.” Governor Murphy’s cited 3,000 to 3,800 cases per day now, compared to a peak of 4,300 in the spring. “We’re getting into a neighborhood that is extremely concerning.”

NEW RESTRICTIONS ON SEATING AND HOURS FOR RESTAURANTS AND BARS EFFECTIVE TODAY: Governor Phil Murphy signed Executive Order No. 194, on Tuesday that imposes restrictions on seating and hours for restaurants, bars, clubs, and lounges, and prohibition of interstate indoor K-12 and youth sports effective today, Thursday, November 12, 2020.
MONROE TOWNSHIP LIBRARY TO RESUME CURBSIDE PICK-UP SERVICE ON THURSDAY, 11/19: In the interest of public safety and in an effort to provide continued services, the Monroe Township Library has suspended its grab-and-go operations until further notice. The Library is scheduled to resume curbside pickup only at the drive-thru window effective Thursday, November 19 with extended hours: Monday – Thursday: 10am – 7:30pm; Friday and Saturday: 10am – 4:30pm. MONROE DPW RESUMES SERVICES: The Monroe Township Department of Public Works has resumed previously scheduled bulk pick-ups and leaf collection through the end of November.
