ZONING BOARD MINUTES

MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING

 

July 30, 2019

Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Vice Chairman Vincent LaFata who led the salute to the Flag.

Vice Chairman Vincent LaFata read the Sunshine Law as follows: In accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, it is hereby announced and shall be entered into the minutes of this meeting that adequate notice of this meeting has been provided by the following:

Posted on January 6, 2017 on the Bulletin Board of the Office of the Township Clerk, Municipal Complex, 1 Municipal Plaza, and remains on file at that location for public inspection;

Posted on the Bulletin Board of the Office of the Township Clerk;

Posted on the Bulletin Boards within the Municipal Complex;

Printed in the Home News Tribune and Cranbury Press on January 4, 2019;                   

Posted on the Monroe Township website; and

Sent to those individuals who have requested personal notice.

MEMBERS PRESENT:     Vice Chairman Vincent LaFata, Mr. Dhaval Patel, Mr. Marino Lupo, Mr. Henry Sloan, Ms. Jennifer Hluchy, Mr. Michael Maiolo, Alternate #1 Mr. Louis Masters and Alternate #2 Mr. Gary Busman.  Also present for the Board were Attorney Karl Kemm, Planner Mark Remsa, Engineer Mark Rasimowicz and Director of Planning & Zoning Robert Hudak.

MEMBERS ABSENT:        Chairwoman Carol Damiani, Alternate #3 Ms. Rajani Karuturi and Alternate #4 Mr. Donato Tanzi.

A motion to approve the June 25, 2019 Minutes made by Mr. Henry Sloan and seconded by Ms. Jennifer Hluchy and passed unanimously by all members present.

BA-5176-19                          Robert and Kathleen Hode; Request for Bulk Variances; Block 164, Lot 57; Located on Tyndale Avenue, in the R-7.5 Zone

Mr. Robert Hode, homeowner was present.

Mr. Jerry Bogue, homeowner’s contractor was also present.

Mr. Mark Remsa stated this application is appearing before the board because of a house fire and to clean up all requested variances and rebuild the home. 

PUBLIC:

Ms. Lidia Lyle, neighbor who stated she is anxious to have them back and to rebuild.

Mr. Mark Rasimowicz, Board Engineer, has no objections subject to applicant’s compliance with report dated June 13, 2019.

Mr. Mark Remsa, Board Planner, has no objections subject to applicant’s compliance with report dated July 24, 2019.

Mr. Karl Kemm stated a resolution has been prepared to help the homeowner along and not lose more time to start construction.

Motion to approve made by Mr. Dhaval Patel and seconded by Mr. Louis Masters and passed unanimously by all members of the Board present.

Motion to memorialize made by Mr. Dhaval Patel and seconded by Mr. Henry Sloan and passed unanimously by all members of the Board present.

MEMORIALIZATION

BA-5175-19              251 Docks Corner, LLC, a motion to approve made by Mr. Dhaval Patel and seconded by Mr. Henry Sloan and passed unanimously by all members of the Board present.

DISCUSSION

Mr. Karl Kemm brought the Board up to date on the pending lawsuits against the Board.

PUBLIC PORTION

Ms. Michelle Arminio thanked the Board for granting the approval for the Hode family.

A motion to adjourn at 7:20 p.m. made by and seconded by and passed unanimously by all members of the Board present.
