Hydrant Flushing Forecast - 2026

Flushing Forecast #7

6/8/26 - 6/21/26

Our team is in the process of working on our unidirectional flushing (UDF) program, to flush fire hydrants, to remove accumulated sediment in water mains and comply with NJ DEP regulations that require all Township hydrants be inspected annually. Please note that the rate of progress is directly affected by variables and conditions found as our crews move through the township.

This process could result in discolored/ cloudy water or low pressure during and immediately following the daily flushing. If you experience discolored water, open the cold-water faucet at the lowest point in the home/building and allow the water to run until it clears. Please keep in mind that discolored water could occur at any time during the flushing period but more likely when we flush the water mains in your neighborhood.
