STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS:

  • According to the NJ Office of the Attorney General, more than 10,600 out-of-state health care professionals have received temporary emergency licenses; more than 400 retired NJ health care professionals reactivated their licenses within the past week.
  • As of 10 p.m. Saturday, 8,185 people are hospitalized with the virus or suspicion of it. Of those, 2,051 are in critical care and 1,626 on ventilators.Between 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 p.m. Sunday, 514 people with the virus were discharged from hospitals.
  • 128,604 tests performed, positivity rate is 44.83%
  • 80% of critical care patients are on ventilators, down from a previous 97%
  • 27 of new deaths were residents of a long-term care facility.There are 342 long-term care facilities in the state with COVID-19 cases

FACE COVERING AVAILABLE AT MONROE STOP & SHOP:  

Workers and visitors in retail establishments are required by Executive Order from Governor Murphy to wear cloth face coverings while on the premises of any retail establishment. If a visitor refuses to wear a cloth face covering and if such covering cannot be provided by the business, then businesses must decline entry to the individual. Monroe Township OEM has issued over 2,000 pieces of PPE to the Monroe Stop & Shop.  Please request your face covering at the Courtesy Desk if needed.   

DO YOU NEED TO BE TESTED?  Following are local testing facilities:  

(MONROE) MyInstaDoc, 298 Applegarth Road:  DRIVE-THRU THURSDAY, APRIL 16.  The facility will serve pre-registered patients only from 9am – 1pm and drive-up patients from 1pm – 3:30pm.  Testing will continue on Saturday, April 16.  Pre-register at www.myinstadocmonroe.comor call 609-207-3220.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY TESTING:  

(SOUTH BRUNSWICK) New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission Inspection Station, 2236 Route 130 North, Dayton  

(EDISON) New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission Kilmer Vehicle Inspection Center, 33 Kilmer Road, Edison:  Saliva-Based Testing. Results provided within 24-48 hours.   

The South Brunswick and Edison sites are open to Middlesex County residents by appointment from 10 am to 2 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  

All available time slots for Wednesday, April 15 have been reserved.  Please check back on Thursday, April 16 at 10am for registration for Friday, April 17. Click hereto register.
