Monroe Township Teens Raise Funds with Online Speaking Class 

One of the biggest fears people have is speaking in public.  Nalin and Mandar Ajgaonkar are juniors at Monroe Township High School who are helping younger students be more confident public speakers through their “Eloquence Program” while raising funds to help the community. They charge a fee to take the class and donate the proceeds.  News 12 featured the program as “one of the most creative pandemic fundraisers we have seen.” Great work, boys!  View the story here.   

4 NEW COVID-19 POSITIVE CASES REPORTED IN MONROE ON WEDNESDAY

3 IN LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES AND 1 COMMUNITY-WIDE

COVID-19 Cases received Wednesday, May 27:  

New positive cases 4:  100, female; 51, female; 98, female; 83, male

STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS:  

• NJ hospitals currently have 2,797 patients being treated for COVID-19.
• NJ Field Medical Stations reported 24 patients. 
• 365 new hospitalizations and 287 patients were discharged from the hospital yesterday.
• The spot positivity rate for tests from May 24^thwas 6 percent.
• 740 patients in either critical or intensive care; 76% of critical care patients are on ventilators; 564 ventilators currently in use.
