ZERO NEW COVID-19 POSITIVE CASES REPORTED IN MONROE TOWNSHIP ON WEDNESDAY; ONE NEW DEATH REPORTED COMMUNITY-WIDE

STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS:  

• NJ hospitals currently have 1,982 patients being treated for COVID-19; Field Medical Stations reported 21 patients.
• 537 patients in either critical or intensive care; 76% of critical care patients on ventilators; 406 ventilators currently in use.
• The daily positivity rate for tests from May 31 was 4.2 percent – from roughly 20,000 recorded samples; The rate of spread for each new case remains below one.
• “Social distancing must remain our routine,” said Governor Murphy.With protections in place, our downtowns and main streets and small businesses can once again open up on June 15.”
• 1 new case of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in children reported, 35 cases total.

NONESSENTIAL STORES REOPENING GUIDELINES ANNOUNCED:  Governor Murphy today detailed safety restrictions and guidelines for when nonessential retail businesses in New Jersey are allowed to reopen to shoppers inside stores on June 15.  Capacity will be limited to 50% and customers will be required to wear face coverings.  Read the full NJ.com article here.
