COVID-19 Cases received Wednesday, June 10:  New positive cases 1:  80, female

 

STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS: 

  • NJ hospitals currently have 1,512 patients being treated for COVID-19.
  • New hospitalizations are down more than 90%; Total hospitalizations are down 80%; Ventilator use has dropped nearly 80%; Number of patients in our ICUs is down by fully 3/4.
  • 445 patients in either critical or intensive care; 72% on ventilators; 319 ventilators in use.
  • The rate of spread for each new case is .62 – one of the lowest in the nation.
  • The daily spot positivity rate for tests from June 7 was 3.8%.
  • NJ has passed the 1 million mark in diagnostic tests performed in the state. Testing is available for all residents who want and-or need it. There are 255 public and private testing sites, including select Rite Aid, CVS and Walmart locations.  Visit COVID19.nj.gov/testing.
  • “100 days, I want to say thank you to the millions of New Jerseyans who understood why we took the actions we did, and who remain understanding of the need for us to remain vigilant,” said Governor Murphy. “Because of you, we can enter Stage 2 of our restart and recovery on Monday.”
