GOVERNOR MURPHY PERMITS CURBSIDE PICKUP AT LIBRARIES; MONROE TOWNSHIP PUBLIC LIBRARY TO BEGIN CURBSIDE PICKUP JUNE 22:  Governor Murphy announced today that the state is set to issue an order allowing libraries to offer curbside pickup.  Monroe Township Public Library will begin curbside pickup on Monday, June 22. 6122PERSONAL CARE BUSINESSES TO REOPEN JUNE 22:  Governor Murphy today unveiled a number of personal-care businesses that may operate again starting June 22.  All will have restrictions. Murphy said the state Division of Consumer Affairs will release safety standards and protocols these businesses must abide by.  Read the full NJ.com article here.

 

STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS: 

  • NJ hospitals currently have 1,480 patients being treated for COVID-19. Field medical stations reported 6 patients.
  • 117 new hospitalizations and 133 discharges yesterday.
  • 415 patients in either critical or intensive care; 72% on ventilators; 300 ventilators in use.
  • The daily spot positivity rate for tests from June 8 was 2.5%.
  • “The evidence is overwhelming and the experts are clear: COVID-19 is more lethal inside than outside,” said Governor Murphy.  “It’s too soon to open restaurants for indoor dining.  We won’t budge on protecting public health.”
  • 1 new case of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in children reported; 40 cases total; no deaths reported; 3 children currently hospitalized.
  • This weekend, NJDOH is expected to release guidelines necessary for organized sports to resume on Monday, June 22.

ANTIBODY TESTING & COVID-19 TESTING AVAILABLE:  MyInstaDoc Monroe is located at 298 Applegarth Road.  igG Antibody Blood Testing is conducted in-office by appointment by calling 609-207-3220.  A patient must be free from all COVID-19 symptoms for a period of no less than 14 days. COVID-19 Nasal Swab Testing is a drive-up test site open TUESDAY, THURSDAY AND SATURDAY. Pre-register here for an appointment.

 

TESTING AVAILABLE AT HACKENSACK MERIDIAN URGENT CARE IN MONROE:  Located at 215 Applegarth Road, this facility is offering antibody blood testing and COVID-19 nasal swab testing walk-in or by appointment from 8am – 8pm Monday through Friday and from 8am – 4pm Saturday and Sunday.  Call 732-263-7922 to schedule an appointment.  NOTE:  Please call ahead if you are symptomatic.
