COVID-19 Cases received Tuesday, June 30: New positive cases 1: 82, male
STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS:
- NJ hospitals currently have 1,080 patients being treated for COVID-19.
- 54 new COVID-19 hospitalizations and 87 discharges yesterday.
- 217 patients in either critical or intensive care; 82% on ventilators; 178 ventilators in use.
- The daily spot positivity rate for tests from June 27 was 2.29%; transmission rate of 0.82.
- Governor Murphy said, “There is still a lot we don’t know about coronavirus, but we know two things with absolute certainty: Outdoor environments are safer than indoor environments. Wearing a face covering is safer than not wearing a face covering.”
