4:00pm Friday Storm Recovery and Coronavirus Community Update

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM MAYOR TAMBURRO
While JCP&L has made much needed progress in efforts to restore power throughout Monroe Township, there are many without power at this time.  Frankly, I am outraged that we still have 411 customer without power four days after the storm.

Enough is enough.  It is time for the Board of Public Utilities to take action and force JCP&L to be a better utility provider.

Our Monroe Township Police Officers have done a fantastic job of keeping in contact and receiving updates from crews from NJ, Maryland, Ohio and Indiana who are doing their best at multiple sites throughout the Township as we speak.  But accurate and timely communications should be coming from JCP&L to our residents - their customers!

I continue to fight for more resources in our town.

At this point in time, JCP&L reports 411 customers still without power in Monroe Township – down from more than 18,000 immediately following the storm.  We will not rest until this number is zero.
