2026 Wet Basin Maintenance

Notice is hereby given that the Township of Monroe is seeking proposals for 2026 Wet Basin Maintenance. The contractor is responsible for the provision of all materials and labor required to conduct monthly pond evaluations and applying treatment as needed at 30 basins throughout the Township.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that on May 13, 2026, the Affordable Housing Board of the Township of Monroe will hold a public meeting at 1 Municipal Plaza, Monroe, NJ at 6:30 pm. The agenda is expected to include a hardship application for property located at 394A Newport Way and other such business as may be brought before the Board. Formal action may be taken at the meeting.

The Township of Monroe received a $10,000 grant from the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities to develop a Comprehensive Energy Plan (CEP) for the Township. The Plan is designed to achieve the State's goal of 100% clean energy by 2050. The Plan includes addressing six clean energy initiatives and individual community strategies as required by the BPU. 

The grant requires the Township to schedule a public stakeholders meeting to gather input and provide feedback from Township residents about the proposed plan. The Plan will be reviewed and approved by the Township Council before submitting it to the BPU. 

The public meeting will be held at 7:00pm on Monday, May 11, 2026 at the Library. All interested residents are invited to attend. 

In accordance with the requirements of the Open Public Meetings Act, please note, the Economic Development Advisory Board Meeting scheduled for Wed. May 20, 2026 has been cancelled.

In accordance with the requirements of the Open Public Meetings Act, please note, the Insurance Fund Commission meeting scheduled for July 15^th has been rescheduled to September 8, 2026, and the meeting scheduled for November 18^th has been cancelled. All meetings are held at 10:00am via Zoom.
