NOTICE OF PUBLIC ON-LINE AUCTION OF SURPLUS VEHICLES & EQUIPMENT

Notice is hereby given that an on-line auction for the sale of Township vehicles and equipment no longer needed for public purposes will commence on Tuesday, October 27, 2026 at 8:00 am and shall close on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 starting at 2:00 pm with staggered end times. A list of the items for sale, as well as the details of the auction, can be found on www.govdeals.com/MonroeTwp.

All bidders are required to electronically register for bidding on the auctioneer’s web site, www.govdeals.com. All bidders participating in this auction agree that they have read and fully understood the terms and conditions outlined on the site and agree to be bound thereby.

The vehicles and equipment listed for sale in Schedule A will be available for public inspection on Friday, October 30,2026 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Monroe Township Department of Public Works, 76 Gravel Hill-Spotswood Road, Monroe Township, New Jersey 08831. All bidders are encouraged to inspect the vehicles and equipment on this date.  All questions about the condition of the vehicles and equipment shall be addressed to https://www.govdeals.com/MonroeTownship. No telephone calls will be accepted.

All vehicles and equipment will be sold to the highest bidder. Payment in full must be made electronically at GovDeals.com within five (5) business days from the time and date of the Buyer’s Certificate. Payment shall be made by credit card (American Express, Visa, Master Card, or Discover), Pay Pal, or wireless transfer.

All sale of vehicles and equipment shall be final and shall be sold in “as is or where is” condition free from any warranty or guarantee.

After payment to GovDeals, the winning bidder shall pick up all vehicle titles and keys at the Department of Public Works at the address listed above between the hours of 9:00 am and 12 noon Monday through Friday. A paid receipt from GovDeals and personal identification shall be required for all property purchased at the time of pick-up. Any person other than the authorized buyer must show an Authorization of Release signed by the buyer giving permission for the asset to be released to a third party.

 All vehicles must be removed from Township property within ten (10) business days from the time and date of the Buyer’s Certificate between the hours of 9:00 am and 12:00 noon from Monday through Friday.  A daily storage fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) shall be charged for any item not removed within this ten-day period. Any storage fees shall be paid to the Township of Monroe by certified check. The buyer shall make all arrangements, pay and perform all work necessary including packing, loading, and transportation of the item purchased at the auction.

The Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
