MESSAGE FROM GOVERNOR MURPHY: “Our priority is to use science, data, and facts to put New Jersey on the road to recovery. In order to restore economic health, we must first promote public health. These key principles and metrics are critical for giving New Jerseyans confidence that we will re-open our state with our public health protocols firmly in place and our health care system prepared. Restarting New Jersey's economy and returning people to work will be done methodically, strategically, and responsibly. We'll ensure that our road back merges with those being traveled by our regional partners through the Multi-State Council. This isn’t just about NJ. Rushing ahead of our partners would risk returning our entire region back into lockdown mode. We only want to have to do this once.
STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS:
- N.J.'s hospitals reported the number of patients with confirmed or suspected coronavirus cases dropped for a sixth consecutive day.
- As of 10:00 PM last night:6,407 residents hospitalized for COVID-19, 1,801 patients in either critical or intensive care, 1,303 ventilators currently in use
