COVID-19 Cases received Friday, June 19:  New positive cases 3:

 31, male; 29, male; 44, female

COVID-19 Cases received Saturday, June 20:  New positive case 1:  31, male

COVID-19 Cases received Sunday, June 21:  New positive cases 2:  19, male; 17, male

STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS: 

  • NJ hospitals currently have 1,029 patients being treated for COVID-19. Field medical stations reported 15 patients.
  • 46 new COVID-19 hospitalizations and 70 discharges yesterday.
  • 287 patients in either critical or intensive care; 74% on ventilators; 213 ventilators in use.
  • 35,954 COVID-19 cases at NJ long-term care facilities; 6,198 confirmed deaths.
  • 1 new case of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome reported since Friday – 44 cases total.
  • The daily spot positivity rate for tests from June 17 was 2.42%; transmission rate of 0.76.
  • Outdoor gatherings may now increase from 100 to 250 persons maximum – still no limit for outdoor religious or political activities.
  • Indoor gatherings are now limited to 25% of capacity – but cannot exceed 100 persons.
  • “If the current trends in our health metrics change between now and next Thursday, we will hit pause on the current plan,” said Governor Murphy. “That’s the last thing I want to do – so let’s keep using common sense for the common good.”
