STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS: 

  • NJ hospitals currently have 963 patients being treated for COVID-19.
  • 92 hospital discharges yesterday.
  • 170 patients in either critical or intensive care; 104 ventilators in use.
  • The daily spot positivity rate for tests from July 4 was 3.23

As of Tuesday, July 7 there are currently 19 states that meet the 14-day quarantine travel advisory including, Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nevada, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah.

MONROE TWP PLAYGROUNDS:  Effective tomorrow morning, all playgrounds in Monroe Township will be re-opened. Parents are asked to have children maintain social distance while on equipment and to wash and sanitize hands often after play.

MONROE TWP PUBLIC LIBRARY REOPENS MONDAY, JULY 13:  Today, the library announced the reopening of the library on Monday, July 13. The library will offer limited “grab & go” services and will continue the convenient curbside pickup for those who prefer it. Hours for the “grab & go” visit will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30am to 4:00pm and Tuesday, Thursday 9:30am to 7:00pm. Curbside hours will continue on Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 11am to 3pm and Tuesday/Thursday from 3pm to 7pm. Please visit www.monroetwplibrary.org for safety guidelines and additional information.

EMERGENCY FOOD DISTRIBUTION, RISE NJ: RISE is hosting an emergency food distribution for those 7092families and individuals who need assistance during this public health emergency. SATURDAY, JULY 11, 2020; VICTORIA CLASSICS at 480 Mercer Street in Hightstown.  Gates will open at 11am, distribution begins at 12pm. Please empty your truck, stay in your car, limits of 2 families per car.

EXECUTIVE ORDER ON FACE MASKS: Yesterday, Governor Phil Murphy signed Executive Order No. 163, which requires individuals to wear face coverings in outdoor public spaces when it is not practicable to socially distance and keep a six-foot distance from others, excluding immediate family members, caretakers, household members, or romantic partners, except where doing so would inhibit that individual’s health, where the individual is under two years of age, or in situations where individuals cannot feasibly wear a face covering, such as when eating or drinking at outdoor dining areas.  The Order notes that situations when wearing a face covering would inhibit an individual’s health include when an individual is engaging in high intensity aerobic or anaerobic activities, when in the water, and in other situations where the presence of a mask would pose a risk to the individual’s safety.
