New COVID-19 Cases from July 10 – 13: 20F, 22M

STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS: 

  • NJ hospitals currently have 892 patients being treated for COVID-19.
  • 166 patients in either critical or intensive care; 81 ventilators in use.
  • The daily spot positivity rate for tests from July 9 was 1.51. Rate of transmission: .91
  • 2 new reports of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children; 53 total cases

7135GOVERNOR LIFTS NJ TRANSIT AND PRIVATE-CARRIER CAPACITY LIMITS – MASKS REQUIRED:  Governor Murphy announced today that he is signing an Executive Order lifting the 50% capacity limits on New Jersey Transit and private-carrier trains, buses and light rail vehicles beginning Wednesday, July 15.  Face coverings required in all indoor stations.  Read the full NJ.com article here

7132MASK-UP REMINDER:  Governor Murphy’s Executive Order No. 163 requires individuals to wear face coverings in outdoor public spaces when it is not practicable to socially distance and keep a six-foot distance from others.  Monroe Township residents are strongly encouraged to continue to wear face masks any time you are in public, wash hands often and maintain social distancing.   

REMINDER:  MONROE TWP PUBLIC LIBRARY NOW OPEN FOR GRAB-AND-GO SERVICE AND CURBSIDE PICK-UP:  The Monroe Township library now offers limited “grab & go” services and will continue the convenient curbside pickup for those who prefer it. Hours for the “grab & go” visit will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:30am to 4:00pm and Tuesday, Thursday 9:30am to 7:00pm.
