New COVID-19 Cases from July 14 – 16: 80M, 79M, 72F

STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS: 

  • NJ hospitals currently have 923 patients being treated for COVID-19.
  • 151 patients in either critical or intensive care; 78 ventilators in use; 51% on ventilators.
  • The daily spot positivity rate for tests from July 11 was 2.13%. Rate of transmission: .93
  • As of Tuesday, July 14, the following 22 states currently meet the 14-day travel quarantine criteria: Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin

LONG-TERM CARE FACILITY VISITAION:  The New Jersey Department of Health has released 7164guidelines the will allow long term care facilities to arrange by-appointment visits.  Outdoor visitations will continue per the directive issued prior to Father’s Day.  Indoor visitations will be allowed at facilities which have had zero new probable or confirmed coronavirus cases recorded in a 28-day period.  Please contact the facility you wish to visit in advance to schedule an appointment.

7163PROTECT YOURSELF AND OTHERS:  COVID-19 spreads mainly among people who are in close contact with one another (less than 6ft.)  Wear a cloth face covering in public settings & when around people not living in your household, especially when social distancing is difficult to maintain.  Visit cdc.gov/coronavirus for more information on how to protect yourself and others.
