STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS:
- NJ hospitals currently have 253 patients being treated for COVID-19.
- 103 patients in either critical or intensive care; 36 ventilators in use; 34% on ventilators.
- The daily spot positivity rate for tests from August 27 was 1.41. Rate of transmission .90.
- Capacity limits for indoor religious services, weddings, funerals, memorial services and political activities has been increased to the lesser of either 25% capacity or 150 individuals.
- Movie Theaters and other indoor performance venues may reopen on Friday, September 4 at the lesser of either 25% capacity or 150 people.
NJ RESTAURANTS ALLOWED TO OPEN FOR INDOOR DINING AT 25% CAPACITY EFFECTIVE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 4: Governor Murphy announced today that NJ restaurants will be allowed to reopen their indoor dining sections with restrictions beginning 6 AM this Friday. “Reopening responsibly will help us restore one of our state’s key industries while continuing to make progress against COVID-19,” Murphy said. MIDDLESEX COUNTY CARES ACT SMALL BUSINESS RELIEF GRANT PROGRAM NOW AVAILABLE: The COVID-19 Small Business Relief Grant Program was created to assist small businesses that have been negatively impacted by the coronavirus. Through the program, Middlesex County intends to disburse a total of $30 million in grants for loss of revenue, verifiable expenses incurred, and/or continuation of services through the latest round of CARES Act Funds. Funds are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and capped at a total funding amount of $30,000 per application. The first eligibility period will be March 6 – July 31 with additional refunding periods being offered based on availability of funds. Conditions must be met to qualify.
