12106    MESSAGE FROM MAYOR TAMBURRO:  WE ALL NEED TO TAKE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND GET THROUGH THESE DIFFICULT TIMES

We have reached a very concerning milestone in the COVID-19 pandemic. Today we are reporting the single highest number of new positive cases for the week of December 3-9th in Monroe Township since the beginning of this fight.  This trend is consistent with virus counts across the county, state and country.  I understand the overwhelming fatigue placed on all of us over the past nine months.  I feel it too.  But we cannot give up.  It is more important than ever to avoid indoor gatherings and close interaction with anyone outside of our immediate households.

We are optimistic that a vaccine is on the horizon but we recognize that we are many months away from it being fully available to th12105e entire public.  We must bridge the next several months which may be very difficult.  Please remember, we are one community. We are not alone and I believe there will be better days ahead in 2021.  Let’s continue to support each other and reach out if you need help in any way.
