Mayor Dalina and Township Officials Succeed In Efforts to Close Meadowview Care Center
Facility closed by Order of NJ Department of Community Affairs following numerous incidents of improper operation, staffing and safety issues
MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. – June 9, 2021 – Mayor Stephen Dalina announced today that the Meadowview Care Center located at 319 Spotswood Gravelhill Road has been closed by order of the State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Bureau of Rooming and Boarding House Standards, effective immediately.
“The conditions at Meadowview Care Center posed a serious threat to the health and safety of both the facility residents and the residents of the Township of Monroe. We appealed to the Bureau who sought to have the Center’s operating license revoked,” said Mayor Stephen Dalina. “I am relieved and happy to report that the facility is now closed.”
The Township of Monroe police department, legal counsel and administration have been diligent and persistent in advising the NJDCA Bureau of Rooming and Boarding House Standards of continuing issues regarding the operation and management of the facility.
“I would particularly like to commend MTPD Sergeant Ronald Breuer for his ongoing diligence and commitment to ensuring the health and safety of all involved,” Mayor Dalina said.
