in County and State
MONROE TOWNSHIP, N.J. – August 11, 2021 – According to the latest vaccination reports forwarded by Middlesex County from the State of New Jersey Department of Health for the week of August 3, Monroe Township’s vaccination rates exceeded state averages in every age category.
“Our vaccination rates are good, but with the increasing spread of the Delta variant, vaccines are more important than ever. That’s why we must get as close to a 100% vaccination rate as possible and continue to follow guidance,” Mayor Stephen Dalina said. “We must continue to work together to protect the entire community as we have done throughout the pandemic. Getting vaccinated is the best way to help.”
The state report provides vaccination statistics for municipalities in each county according to the following population categories: 12 years and older, 18 years and older, 65 years and older and 80 years and older. Monroe Township vaccination rates saw a two percent increase over the last four weeks in the 12+ and 18+ categories and a one percent increase in the 65+ and 80+ categories.
