ELEVEN NEW COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS CASES IN MIDDLESEX COUNTY

LATEST STATE/COUNTY UPDATES:  The latest statistics related to the COVID-19 Coronavirus from Governor Murphy’s office this afternoon includes 155 new positive test results in New Jersey for a statewide total of 890.  Middlesex County reports 11 new cases for a total of 75 positive cases.  Monroe currently has three positive cases.

“We are doing everything in our power to keep our community safe while providing for the various needs of our residents,” said Mayor Tamburro.  “Everyone should stay home.”   

COVID-19 DRIVE-THRU TESTING SITE: PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED – Limited Availability:  The MyInstaDoc facility located at 298 Applegarth Road is testing patients for Coronavirus.  Patients under 65 years of age must pre-register at www.myinstadocmonroe.combefore arriving at the facility.  Patients age 65 and over will be processed on-site if necessary. Patients must have symptoms, including fever, or have been exposed to an infected person.  Please call 609-207-3220 to speak with a medical professional.    

CALLING VOLUNTEERS AGE 18-55:  The Monroe Township Office of Emergency Management is compiling a list of volunteers to help deliver food and necessities to Monroe Township homebound residents in the event the Coronavirus emergency becomes even more severe.

We are looking for individuals ages 18 - 55 years of age with a valid drivers’ license. Volunteers may not have presented with illness of any kind within the last 15 days.

FEDERAL TAX FILING POSTPONED: The President of the United States announced today that Tax Day will be moved from April 15 to July 15.  All taxpayers and businesses will have this additional time to file and make payments without interest or penalties.
