New COVID-19 Cases from July 28 – 30:  27F, 29F, 41F, 54M, 65F, 72F, 87F, 97F

STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS: 

  • NJ hospitals currently have 761 patients being treated for COVID-19.
  • 116 patients in either critical or intensive care; 49 ventilators in use; 42% on ventilators.
  • The daily spot positivity rate for tests from July 25 was 2.42%. Rate of transmission: 1.14
  • “Coronavirus is more easily transmitted indoors. We can have an enjoyable summer,” said Governor Murphy. “We can gather together with our friends – but only in small groups and, hopefully, only outdoors.”

7301MONROE TOWNSHIP RESUMES MEDICAL TRANSPORTATION FOR SENIORS AND THE DISABLED:  With retrofitted buses and social distancing in place, medical transportation is available Monday through Friday for Monroe Township seniors and the disabled.  Call 609-443-0511 between 1pm – 4:15pm to make your reservation.  Buses are regularly cleaned and masks are required for all riders.  Temperature checks will be conducted for all passengers prior to boarding the bus.   

NJ CORONAVIRUS POSITIVE TEST RATE HITS HIGHEST LEVEL IN SIX WEEKS:  According to an article in NJ.com this morning, New Jersey has appeared to turn a corner in recent weeks in its fight against COVID-19, but warning signs are appearing that things may be headed in a less positive direction.  The state announced 565 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday – the most new cases in a single day since June 10.  Monroe residents are urged to wear a mask, keep at least 6 ft. of distance between yourself and others, wash hands/use hand sanitizer, get tested and stay home if you are ill.
