COVID-19 Cases received Saturday, June 13:  New positive cases 3: 62, male; 63, female; 74, male

COVID-19 Cases received Sunday, June 14:  New positive cases 2:  95, female; 26, female

STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS: 

• NJ hospitals currently have 1,351 patients being treated for COVID-19. Field medical stations reported 6 patients.
• 402 patients in either critical or intensive care; 66% on ventilators; 267 ventilators in use.
• The daily spot positivity rate for tests from June 11 was 2.6%.
• “We continue to see statewide declines in: total and new hospitalizations, ICU beds filled and ventilators in use,” said Governor Murphy.

COVID-19 Cases received Thursday, June 11:  New positive cases 2:  26, male; 21 male

GOVERNOR MURPHY PERMITS CURBSIDE PICKUP AT LIBRARIES; MONROE TOWNSHIP PUBLIC LIBRARY TO BEGIN CURBSIDE PICKUP JUNE 22:  Governor Murphy announced today that the state is set to issue an order allowing libraries to offer curbside pickup.  Monroe Township Public Library will begin curbside pickup on Monday, June 22. Details to follow.

COVID-19 Cases received Wednesday, June 10:  New positive cases 1:  80, female

STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS: 

• NJ hospitals currently have 1,512 patients being treated for COVID-19.
• New hospitalizations are down more than 90%; Total hospitalizations are down 80%; Ventilator use has dropped nearly 80%; Number of patients in our ICUs is down by fully 3/4.
• 445 patients in either critical or intensive care; 72% on ventilators; 319 ventilators in use.
• The rate of spread for each new case is .62 – one of the lowest in the nation.
• The daily spot positivity rate for tests from June 7 was 3.8%.
• NJ has passed the 1 million mark in diagnostic tests performed in the state. Testing is available for all residents who want and-or need it. There are 255 public and private testing sites, including select Rite Aid, CVS and Walmart locations.  Visit COVID19.nj.gov/testing.
• “100 days, I want to say thank you to the millions of New Jerseyans who understood why we took the actions we did, and who remain understanding of the need for us to remain vigilant,” said Governor Murphy. “Because of you, we can enter Stage 2 of our restart and recovery on Monday.”

As part of an effort to support the local economy, Monroe Township has determined that some local restaurants may be able to temporarily establish outdoor seating for their establishments with the issuance of a temporary use permit.  These permits may allow restaurants, on a case-by-case, limited basis, to expand the areas available for outdoor seating through Sept 15, 2020.  The temporary use permit for outdoor dining is only for restaurants with an active mercantile license from Monroe Township and will be limited to fifty per cent (50%) of the currently authorized seating capacity and will not be permitted to exceed one thousand square feet (1000 SF).  If the restaurant currently has approved outdoor dining the temporary use permit is only necessary if the restaurant wishes to temporarily expand their approved outdoor dining space.
