Construction Office of Monroe

If you are planning construction work to your home, chances are you'll need a permit.

Please call the Construction Department to obtain building permits and inspections. Construction work will be inspected in accordance with the State Uniform Construction Code Regulations N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.18.

The owner or person responsible for the construction work must notify this office to ensure paper work and approvals are completed in the correct order.

K. There shall be an additional fee of $45 per hour or any portion thereof for review of any amendment or change to a plan that has already been released.  
L.

Hourly charges and fees for development-wide inspection of homes after issuance of a certificate of occupancy shall be in such amount as may be reasonable and necessary in order to ascertain whether a violation exists or to verify that any work performed has abated the violation.

The hourly charge shall be $57 per hour times the number of hours spent by the Code Official in determining whether a violation exists or verifying that any work performed has abated the violation.
