STATE AND NJDOH STATISTICS:
- NJ hospitals currently have 1,291 patients being treated for COVID-19 – the first time this number fell below 1,300 in several months. Field medical stations reported 5 patients.
- 33 new COVID-19 hospitalizations and 53 discharges yesterday.
- 362 patients in either critical or intensive care; 68% on ventilators; 245 ventilators in use.
- 35,403 COVID-19 cases at NJ long-term care facilities; 6,020 confirmed deaths.
- The daily spot positivity rate for tests from June 12 was 2.46%; transmission rate of 0.69.
- 2 new cases of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in children, 42 cases total. No deaths reported.
- “We’re not out of the woods yet,” said Governor Murphy. “Social distancing must remain our top priority.”
GUIDANCE RELEASED FOR REOPENING OF HAIR SALONS, BARBERSHOPS AND PERSONAL CARE SERVICES ON JUNE 22: The Office of the NJ Attorney General today released new rules for hair and nail salons, barbershops and other personal care services to reopen next week, including screening customers and workers and limiting the number of people allowed in businesses.
